The Khumbu region is one of the most popular and an outstanding destinations for adventure seekers and it offers the best opportunity to gain the high Himalayan experience. The trek to reach the mountain begins with a dramatic scenic flight to Lukla landing on the mountain runway and the trail follows many farm villages with beautiful views of the high snow capped peaks of the highest mountains of the world.

Kyajo Ri is part of the Khumuche Himal and is located in the Gokyo Valley. It is a very beautiful mountain which was first climbed by an Anglo / French expedition in 2002. The mountain has a fine steep and rocky East Face as it is seen from Machharmo village in the Gokyo Valley which is still unclimbed.

Base camp is established at 4,550m and Camp I at over 5300 meters. Technical climbing is required from Camp I to Camp II at 5700m. From Camp II to summit has been rated as French Alpine Grade D. During this expedition you will get a real high mountain expedition experience and can see the highlights of the Khumbu peaks including Mt. Everest ever present.
